Electronic data are everywhere, even more so in the Hospitality and Travel Industry. Making send of the data and optimizing choices with large amounts of information, is impossible without the help of a superpower that merges them, applies economics laws together with Data Science, Statistics and AI. That's what we do, we develop algorithms and Data Science/AI as a service tools for the Travel Industry. We do active research and development with Ecole Hotelier Lausanne, University of Algarve, University of Milan, University of Trento, and the Politecnico di Milano, to provide cutting edge technologies.
Optimizing pricing with a given demand has been addressed since a long time in the Travel and Hospitality industries, and it all relies on good forecasting. Our Research and product Development is currently focused on the application if various Machine Learning techniques to forecast Hotel demand. Subsequestly we apply econometric models, economic formulas and Reinforcement Learning models to optimize pricing.
Classical and recent pricing optimization models ignore the effect of marketing, however this is not correct as marketing moves the demand and pricing cannot be separated from marketing, this is proved by the fact that price is one of the 4 P's of marketing! So our current research and development is on the effect of marketing on optimal pricing, and viceversa.
We are building an automatic copilot for hospitality to optimize the margins by merging Revenue and Marketing with an AI intelligent system based on collecting current and historical data. We just released the first demo!
